Will they stay on?
Yes — and that was the hardest part to get right. It took us 53 prototypes to perfect the shape. The natural cartilage at the rim of your ear holds it gently in place, while it remains floating in the middle of your ear — no clips, no pressure, no pinching.
Slide it through the thinnest part of your ear and guide it gently to the centre. We recommend doing it in front of a mirror the first time. Most people find their way on the first or second try.
Which size should I choose?
Think of it as choosing a style, not a size. The smaller the ear cuff, the higher it sits.
00/XS — Sits high against the ear cartilage. The classic ear cuff position.
01/S — Floats just above the earlobe.
02/M — Most like a traditional earring — rests over the piercing holes.
03/L — The statement one. Settles between the cheekbone and jawline, following and enhancing the lines of the face.
What is EARBIT made of — and how do I care for it?
EARBIT earrings are made from the same material as the lenses of your sunglasses — certified European acrylic, new or recycled. We chose this material because it gave us everything we needed: lightweight, durable, hypoallergenic and easy to care. The material that made wearability possible. All our products are made in Finland and designed by us.
Clean with soapy water or lens spray. Avoid alcohol-based products on the surface. Wipe gently with the soft cloth included in the package — it's designed both to clean and protect your EARBITs from scratches.
Where does the name EARBIT come from?
When we were thinking of a name, we didn't want to call it an earring — because it isn't really one. It's more of a korvan kiertäjä, a Finnish word for something that circles the ear. It doesn't hang, it doesn't clip. It orbits. So when Maikku's husband suggested the name, it made perfect sense: ear + orbit = EARBIT. We launched it in 2023.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes — directly from our studio in Lohja, Finland, 58 km south of Helsinki. Every order is packed by us personally before it leaves.
All duties and taxes are included in the delivery. No surprises at the door.
